Revenge Drag Show Raises Funds for Trans Pride Brighton

Show Up, Show Out! – Revenge’s biggest ever drag show raised £2427.77 in support of Trans Pride.

With a line-up produced and hosted by Brighton drag artists Tayris Mongardi and Ex-Girlfriend, the night consisted of three incredible drag shows, with music from Revenge’s resident DJ Toby Lawrence and special guest DJs from Brighton lesbian night Crushed.

As the biggest drag show line-up in Revenge history, the event featured an extrodinary roster of local queer talent, including: The Siren, Brucie Boo, Ariana Cherry, Alik, Theyvid, Glew, Nyongbella, Alex Fincher, Latos XX, Inga Rock, Tylern0l, Xena Rae, Amethyst Love, Foxy Ferox, Aurora Starr and Dave the Bear & the Burly Boys.

Held in response to the recent Supreme Court ruling, host Tayris Mongardi describes Show Up, Show Out as “a labour of love and necessity to our trans+ community,” she continues “As supporters and allies to our trans siblings, Ex-Girlfriend and I were dedicated to facilitating a fundraising event which meant trans+ folks could participate, be heard and be uplifted without having the burden of organising an event for their own needs.”

Steve Jones, Managing Director here at Revenge, added:

“We’re thrilled to announce we’ve raised such a large amount for Trans Pride Brighton. They organise a vital event for the trans community, and now more than ever their work should be uplifted.”

The funds raised will be donated to Trans Pride Brighton, which is set to take place on 19th July.

Show Up, Show Out! is just one of many fundraisers we’ve held at Revenge – for details on more, see our Community Fundraising page.
